Chelsea Mikell, MD, FACOG

Chelsea Mikell, MD, FACOG, is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist who has been providing expert care to women in Southeast Georgia since 2018. She currently provides patient care at Elevate with Ogeechee Health, in Statesboro, Georgia.

Originally from Dahlonega, Dr. Mikell has deep roots in the state and a stellar academic background. She graduated with First Honor from the University of Georgia before attending the Medical College of Georgia, where she graduated at the top of her class and was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society.

Dr. Mikell completed her specialized residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. Her clinical expertise is grounded in evidence-based medicine, ensuring her patients receive the most up-to-date and effective treatments available. She is particularly passionate about minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, which allows for smaller incisions and faster recovery times for her patients. In addition to her surgical skills, Dr. Mikell is a dedicated advocate for breastfeeding support, helping mothers navigate the early stages of parenthood with confidence.

Dr. Mikell resides in Statesboro with her husband, Scott Mikell, who is also a physician specializing in Family and Geriatric Medicine. Together, they are raising three young daughters.
